The 4 aqueducts of the Coteaux du Lyonnais area.

The 4 aqueducts of the Coteaux du Lyonnais area.

The Monts d’Or, Yzeron, Brévenne and Gier aqueducts are waiting to be discovered.
Did you know that Gier aqueduct, 86 km long, was the last aqueducts built by the Romans and is the most technically advanced of those that they built? You will be able to admire it at your leisure as you pass through the communes of Mornant, Soucieu en Jarrest, Brignais and Chaponost.
In the summer, make sure that you see the Plat de l’Air at Chaponost, an elevated section of one of the aqueducts. At night, it is all illuminated!
It is here that the Aqueduct cultural festival takes place on the last Saturday of every June.
