The welcome charter at the Coteaux du Lyonnais wine cellars ensures a high level of service as you discover the work of wine growers: how they maintain the vines and prepare wine and of course, their love for the vineyards.

By signing the charter, wine growers undertake to respect certain hospitality, accommodation, wine-tasting, sales, and information and document-ation require-ments.

This charter is based on 7 golden rules:

Wine growers work in their vineyards most of the day, so they are easiest to find in the wine cellars at around 6 p.m. or if you give them advance notice of your visit.

  • The wine grower must be available, welcoming and friendly.
  • The wine grower must ensure each visitor receives a personal welcome.
  • The wine grower must know how to present their wine appellation.
  • The wine grower must be able to advise visitors on regional tourist attractions and accommodation.
  • The wine grower must be able to talk about local gastronomic delicacies and regional produce.
  • The wine grower must allow visitors to sample his products.
  • The wine grower must accompany the tasting with explanations.
